Day 1 – 4: Initial Care
- Keep it Covered:
Leave the protective plastic film on for the entire duration of these first four days. This film acts as a barrier against dirt and bacteria, allowing your tattoo to start healing properly. - Avoid Touching:
Do not rub, scratch, or touch your tattoo with dirty hands. Let it breathe naturally without any interference. - Stay Safe:
Try to avoid strenuous activities that could cause excessive sweating, as this can irritate the area and may interfere with the healing process. - Maintain Hygiene:
Even with the film, maintain cleanliness around the tattoo area and be mindful of activities that may disturb the film. - Watch for signs:

Day 5 Onwards: Healing Stage
- Remove the Film Carefully:
Use a pH-balanced, fragrance-free soap to wet a small section of the protective film at a time. Gently peel off the film, section by section, ensuring you’re not pulling on the skin.
Remember, do not soak the tattoo in water to remove the film; a gentle rinse is sufficient. - Wash Gently:
Clean the tattoo with mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat it dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing the area to prevent irritation. - Moisturize Regularly:
Apply a fragrance-free, gentle cream or a tattoo-specific moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Use a thin layer to prevent greasiness. - Sun Protection:
When going outside, apply sunscreen with at least SPF 70 on your tattoo. This will help maintain the colors and protect your skin from UV damage.
