Tattoo Artist

At the heart of Fine Madness Tattoo Studio is Monica Katte, a tattoo artist with a degree in Fine Arts. Monica’s experience in art enhances her ability to produce tattoos that are not only technically precise but also captivate artistic depth and innovation. Her education in art has developed her understanding of composition and visual storytelling, all of which play a crucial role in her tattooing practice. 

Monica is celebrated for her exceptional drawing abilities and artistic skill. Monica combines her academic background with years of experience in drawing to create beautiful and detailed tattoos.

Known for her meticulous attention to detail and creativity, from intricate line work to vibrant, detailed imagery. Her strong drawing ability allows her to craft custom designs that are both visually captivating and personally meaningful to each client. Each tattoo is a testament to her artistic expertise and dedication to the craft.

Monica’s portfolio reflects a diverse range of themes, showcasing her versatility. She is deeply passionate about her work, continuously exploring new techniques and artistic influences to keep her designs innovative.

Alex

Studio

Alex is the studio manager with eight years of dedicated experience in the tattoo industry. While Alex does not engage in tattooing, his role as studio manager is pivotal. Characterised by his keen eye for detail, Alex is essential to the tattooing process in providing second opinions on tattoo designs and tattoo placement on the body. Alex is also the studio photographer.
 
With a deep understanding of the tattoo industry and culture, Alexius excels in overseeing the daily operations of the studio, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Emotional Support

Meet our emotional support team, which can be spotted around the studio
Monica and Alex share a deep love of cats. Having fostered countless kittens over the years, they now proudly care for eight feline companions.
While some of these charming cats occasionally say hello in the studio, they are kept away from the tattoo stations to maintain a clean and safe environment. The presence of these lovable furballs brings a peaceful atmosphere to our space, making them a beautiful part of our studio’s history and a source of inspiration for our artistry.

Meet Frida, Our Bold Beauty
(aka Lyfie, Fridalicous, Fieki, Mi-mi-mi, Kleinlyf)
 
Named after Frida Kahlo, this fierce little tabby is both sweet and fiery. As Monica’s favourite and soulmate, and the first cat in the family, Frida holds a special place in our hearts. She’s the oldest female, known for her calm demeanour, but don’t be fooled—she can turn feisty in a flash! With her dark, bold stripes, she’s a striking beauty who keeps a close eye on strangers.

Meet Gracie, Our Reception Queen
(aka Cheebo, Chubby Cheebie, Geesbaabs, Beebee, Oofie, Gacegace, Grysie, or any combination of the above)

Gracie is our last foster baby, raised by Alex since she was just one day old. Spoiled like a true last-born, she has a wise and calm demeanour and spends most of her time napping at reception. While she loves gentle attention, belly rubs, and cheek kisses, she occasionally throws a tantrum when she gets angry at her own tail! Gracie’s serene presence brings a sense of peace to the studio and adds a touch of feline wisdom to the team. She keeps an eye on everyone’s work, ensuring the studio runs purr-fectly.

Meet Lisa, Our Sweetheart with a little sass (aka Kleinekleine, Liesbet, Liesbettie, Kleine-fyne, Tiesie)

Lisa is the soft, small, and gentle soul of the team, but don’t let her sweetness fool you—she’s no pushover! This adorable tabby with white “socks” can surprise you with the cutest meow when you least expect it. As Tommy’s sister and secret admirer of Shwamma, Lisa brings a quiet but charming presence to the studio. She’s the perfect mix of gentle and strong, keeping things balanced with her calm, affectionate nature.

Meet Nina, Our Majestic Black Beauty
(aka Teetie, Nini)

Nina was adopted as an adult, once a little feral, but now a happy and well-adjusted member of the family. With her long black fur and big yellow eyes, she’s nothing short of majestic. Though shy around strangers, once she trusts you, Nina loves attention and isn’t afraid to show off her beauty with a dramatic flail or two. She’s happiest climbing trees and enjoying her newfound life of comfort and care.

Phoenix was rescued just before her trip to the SPCA, and now she reigns as the sassy, aloof queen of the studio. With her long-haired calico coat, short legs, and round fluffy body, she’s undeniably adorable, but don’t expect to see her often—Phoenix is shy around strangers. If you’re lucky enough to catch a glimpse, you’ll witness her stunning beauty. Though elusive, her presence adds a touch of mystery and charm to our space.

Meet Rosie, Our Little Devil
(aka Saana, Saansaan, Roos, Roosbabs, Kiepie, Pienkneus, Stoutkat)

Rosie is the most affectionate and talkative member of our feline family. Super sweet and a bit needy, she loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it—persistently! Though she adores being in the studio, Rosie is only allowed quick visits due to her naughty habit of “redecorating” our space. With her boundless energy and love for cuddles, she’s always ready to say hello and leave a lasting impression.

Shwamma is the cool cat of the crew, with a swagger that says he’s in charge. Pitch black with one striking white whisker, he moves like a mini panther around the studio. As the oldest male, Shwamma knows how to work his charm—whether he’s cuddling up or expertly manipulating us for treats. Don’t let his tough-guy vibe fool you; he’s a softie at heart, keeping the team in check with love and a little mischief.

Meet Tommy, Our Confident Charmer
(aka Thomas, Thomaajhang, Skinnykat, Pofboude)
 
Tommy was our first foster failure, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. A silver-grey tabby with a slim physique but fierce attitude, he’s sure of himself and always up to something mischievous. When he’s not sneaking around, you’ll find him snoozing in the lavender bushes or hanging out with his sister, Lisa, whom he adores. Though he’s mostly independent, Tommy can be irresistibly cute when he’s in the mood for affection, adding his own unique charm to the team.

Jambi

Meet Jambi, our loyal and protective rescue dog.
(aka Jambi, teenie, bruine, medium, slanga)

A mixed breed with a heart of gold, he’s always eager to please and loves being showered with attention—though he might get a bit jealous if he’s not the centre of it! Sweet but a little strange around new faces, Jambi thrives on long walks and spending time with his feline friends. With his beautiful, fluffy coat and sharp instincts, he keeps a close eye on the studio.
